Rees-Mogg sets out guidance for new ‘bonfire of the quangos’

Jacob Rees-Mogg is the Government Efficiency Minister and has responsibility for implementing last year’s Declaration of Government Reforms. He has recently set out guidance that stipulates a 5% savings across government departments that are put under the microscope and is likely to go further than the 2015-20 Tailored Review Programme (which saved approx.. £3bn)  , with the prospect of further outsourcing and reduction in numbers of ALB’s.
