Branch AGM Wednesday 2nd March 2022

It’s that time of year again and it seems to come round quicker than ever these days!  This year we’re trying a new format and holding a hybrid teams meeting from the Thames Barrier so it would be really great if as many of you as possible logged in to show your support on Wednesday 2nd March.  Formal calendar invites will be sent out in due course.

The branch are also looking for more activists to either join the executive committee or to become work place reps.  Please see attached forms for more information.  Returns by email from the nominator and nominee will be quite acceptable this year if you don’t manage to fill in the forms and it would be good to see some new faces on the branch committee, not that there’s anything wrong with the old faces I would just like to add.

I seem to say it every year but we really are travelling into unknown territory at the moment and who knows what the future holds for the Environment Agency, but you can rest assured that UNISON will support our members every step of the way at a local and national level.

And don’t forget we are stronger together so anyone you know at work who hasn’t yet joined a Union there’s never been a better time and they can do this either on line or the good old fashioned way on a membership form which I have plenty of.

Thank you as always for your continued support and if re-elected I hope to get to see as many of you as possible this year, so don’t say I didn’t warn you!

Warmest regards

Andy T

Branch Chair
